2008 FirmMan Mass 70.3

Can anyone say Death March?  Well, this was the race for that. Lots of suffering out on the course due to the heat and the exposed roads, very difficult to stay hydrated.  Dean McNabb had a run in with a pothole and went down, Matt Salmon had a long story to threw up on the bike and barely made it into T2, handed in his chip, packed up to go home and something made him sit down, pull his shoes out of the bag, put them on and run the half to complete the race. (Gutsy move Matt, must have been the Cyclonaut Jersey you where wearing!) Kevin Moloney had a flat, Ron Jacob's said he has NEVER suffered more during a run in his entire career, Dave Haluch got a cramp while putting on his pants in transition after the race.  that was actually pretty funny watching him jump around while trying to get his pants on and not expose himself to the masses.

However one bright spot was Paul, Mike, and Ron came out of the water 1-2-3.  Pretty cool to see the first 3 guys out of the water all with Cyclonauts jerseys on.
