Cyclonaut Multisport Reimbursement Policy

CYCLONAUT RACING REIMBURSEMENT

The Cyclonaut Multisport Racing Reimbursement policy is designed to reward those athletes that dedicate themselves to multisport racing, act as ambassadors for the club, and volunteer for the club.  Athletes meeting the minimum criteria in these categories that submit a reimbursement application, will be eligible for payment in the form of Cyclonaut Bucks and cash to offset some of the expenses they have accrued in race entry fees.

Throughout each calendar year (Jan 1 – Dec 31), athletes will be able to accrue points for participation in multisport events, with additional bonus points accrued for overall podium, and age group podium.

In order to meet the minimum requirement for reimbursement, athletes must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Compete while wearing a team jersey/tri top.
  • Represent our club by volunteering in at least one multisport event.
  • Accumulate at least 5 participation points for completing races.
  • Submit a completed reimbursement form at years end.

Athletes will be able to accumulate bonus points for exceptional performances.  These points will be awarded on the following basis:

  • Qualifying races are any USAT, ITU, or WTC sanctioned events.
  • Points are awarded for either an age group or overall podium result.  No double dipping!
  • Clydesdale and Athena divisions are eligible if recognized in the official results.

At year end, all qualifying athlete points will be totaled, and the available funds (which will be determined yearly by the board) will be allocated on a pro-rated basis.  The reimbursement amount will be awarded in Cyclonaut bucks that can be used towards membership, clothing and merchandise.
